Japanese Ceramic Storage Jars

A trio of antique Japanese ceramic storage jars. These dark brown stoneware jars display the characteristics of being fired at high temperatures. They are heavy and feature sturdy, thick walls, color variations and simple design. Subtle horizontal grooves and remarkable patina draw in the viewer. This set of pottery vessels have a strong presence, yet offer a restrained and calming solidity.
